This past March, we headed to Mill Spring, North Carolina, for the "Sustain Me" 5-day immersive wellness event. It was a fantastic gathering of health enthusiasts, and our mini rebounder classes were a huge hit! Despite a scary fire nearby that caused an evacuation, the energy stayed high, and we ended up selling out of our rebounders. It was a true testament to the power of community and movement.

Key Takeaways from Sustain Me

  • The "Sustain Me" event brought together hundreds of people interested in health and wellness.
  • Mini trampoline (rebounder) classes were a popular activity, drawing a great crowd.
  • A nearby fire caused an evacuation, but the event's spirit remained strong.
  • The event concluded with a successful sell-out of rebounders.
  • The community showed resilience and a strong desire for health and fitness.

Setting Up for Success

We arrived for the "Sustain Me" event, ready to share the joy of rebounding. Our team from Leaps and Rebounds set up our booth, showcasing our mini trampolines designed for exercise. The event, held at the Tryon Equestrian Center, was a 5-day affair, and we were excited to be a part of it.

Classes That Packed a Punch

By day two, we were ready to host our in-person classes. The turnout was incredible! People were eager to jump in, and the energy in the room was amazing. It was great to see so many people, from beginners to those already into health and wellness, enjoying the fun and fitness of rebounding.

Learning About the Science of Bounce

Day three brought a special guest, Barbara O'Neal, who spoke about the science behind rebounding. She explained how this exercise is fantastic for your heart, calling it your "second heart." It was fascinating to learn how beneficial bouncing can be for overall health.

When Things Got a Little Too Hot

Then, things took an unexpected turn. A fire broke out nearby, and it was quite terrifying. We had to evacuate the event, which was a serious situation. The next day, the impact was clear; our Airbnb was covered in soot and ash. The fires had gotten so close that a neighbor's house sadly burned down. It was a stark reminder of how quickly things can change.

Bouncing Back Stronger

Despite the challenges, the spirit of the "Sustain Me" event and its attendees couldn't be dampened. By day five, we were back on our feet, ready to go. And you know what? We sold out all of our rebounders! It was an incredible feeling to see our products connect with so many people, especially after everything that had happened. It really showed the resilience of the community and their commitment to their well-being.

We met so many wonderful people and shared a lot of smiles. If you missed out on this event, don't worry. We're already planning for next year, and it's going to be even bigger and better. Keep an eye out for details!
